Thank You Message from the President

I would like to thank everyone from Halifax, cities
around Canada and the United States, and overseas who called me to give me moral support after the January 12th earthquake that devastated my birth country. I greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I was very touched when complete strangers came to my office to drop off donations and give me their support. Thank you!

I would also like to thank you for your generous contributions to Salutary Angels’ project, in particular to Just Us Café for their significant contributions from customers and staff.

The region of Léôgane, where Salutary Angels’ project is being implemented, is located near the epicenter of this
7.0 magnitude earthquake. Therefore, the devastation there was massive. Ninety percent of the infrastructure was destroyed including the two hospitals in the region, Sainte Croix and Cardinal Léger.

Now more than ever the mobile/lab clinic is urgently needed to meet the needs of women in this area. Your donations will make the mobile clinic a reality and will also allow Salutary Angels to provide long-term health care services in this devastated region.
